The aim of production is to enlarge the donor base through an emotive, entertaining drama-documentary designed to reach the everyday person as well as the committed conservationist. Describing her day to day life during the years she spent on this study Joy Adamson also tells of many extraordinary happenings unrelated to cheetah. not only did she have many exciting, and sometimes dangerous, adventures but she also learned a number of facts about the development and the behaviour of cheetah that were hitherto unknown in particular she was able to record the beginning of sexual behaviour and mating habits which have up to now never been witnessed in the wild. After Pippa's tragic death the author succeeded in keeping in touch with the survivors of two of her litters and in doing so.
